Our story

A ministry built from survival, faith and purpose.

A Better Me Ministries exists to help survivors of domestic violence move from crisis toward healing, stability, empowerment and a renewed sense of possibility.

Mission & vision

Support that sees the whole person.

ABM combines practical resources, community relationships, trauma-informed care and faith-centered encouragement so survivors can rebuild with dignity.

Compassion

Every survivor deserves to be heard without judgment and treated with dignity.

Safety

Immediate needs matter. We help connect people to safer options and critical resources.

✦

Empowerment

Support should strengthen choice, confidence, self-sufficiency and long-term stability.

Community

Healing grows stronger when survivors, advocates, volunteers and partners stand together.

Debbie Ali Williams

A Better Me Ministries was founded by survivor and advocate Debbie Ali Williams. Her lived experience informs a mission centered on restoration, practical support and helping other survivors recognize that their story can continue beyond abuse.

Through community partnerships, events, resource connections and faith-driven encouragement, ABM works to create a bridge from surviving today to building a more stable tomorrow.

“Healing begins with a voice. Rebuilding begins with a choice.”
Our commitment

We meet courage with compassion, and need with action.

Whether someone reaches out for resources, applies for assistance, attends an event or simply needs to know there is a community that cares, ABM aims to make the next step easier to see.
